Hitachi RMA Policy For SAARC Partners:
There are Three (3 )Ways to Claim RMA from Hitachi:
Any ONE of the three can be used to claim RMA.
1. The partners get registered by us directly with Hitachi
2. The partners claims Replacement through Cyberstar
3. The partners claims Credit Note through Cyberstar
Details and Procedures:
- The partners get registered by us directly with Hitachi
- Partner will get ONLY REPLACEMENTS AND NO Credit Note.
- Cyberstar will register the partner with Hitachi.
- Partners has to accumulate upto a minimum number of dirves(at present is 20 minimum).
- Partner through a Log in ID and PW, creates on its own an RMA number on Hitachi Website and is alloted
one RMA reference Number.
- Under the RMA refernce no., the partner has to ship these drives to Hitachi Singapore, in a standard
packing (in anti static bags ONLY) on DOOR to DOOR basis and FREIGHT PREPAID BASIS ONLY.
- On receipt of RMA material in standard packing, Hitachi will send replacement
drives to Partner on DOOR TO DOOR BASIS AND FREIGHT PREPAID but DUTY UNPAID. In this case,
Hitachi will use its standard value to ship these RMA material. This standard value is generally higher than
the marke value of such drives.
- The partners claims REPLACEMENTS through Cyberstar
- Partner has to send the serial no. to RMA department of Cyberstar and RMA CYB will create RMA no. for the parter.
- Partner has to send the Drives to Cyberstar Singapore on DOOR TO DOOR Basis by any mode of transport and FREIGHT PREPAID using the RMA no. which CYBERSTAR has created.
- On receipt of RMA Drives in proper condition, Cyberstar will issue referbished RMA drives as replacements.
- The replacement drives can be sent to partners along with their next shipment or can be picked up by partner from Cyberstar office in Singapore.
- The partners claims Credit Note through Cyberstar
- Partner has to send the serial no. to RMA department of Cyberstar and RMA CYB will create RMA no. for the parter.
- Partner has to send the Drives to Cyberstar Singapore on DOOR TO DOOR Basis by any mode of transport and FREIGHT PREPAID using the RMA no. which CYBERSTAR has created.
- On receipt of RMA Drives in proper condition, Cyberstar will deliver drives to Hitachi & in return Credit Note will be issued by Hitachi to Cyberstar.
- Cyberstar will pass on these credits to the partner at par.
- The credit amounts as per Hitachi policy is as under :
- Year 2 : 75% of Book Value
- Year 3 : 50% of Book Value
Note: The RMA drives need to be pakced in anti static bags ONLY or else, Hitachi will reject the RMA. |
Trading Items RMA Policy
Warranty period – as offered by the Manufacturer
The partners has to claim RMA through Cyberstar . The process to be followed
is as under:
- In this case, RMA is availed to partner in terms of Repair / Replacement or
credit note (CN) at prevailing product value.
- Partner has to send the serial no. of faulty product to RMA department
(rma@cyberstar.com.sg) of Cyberstar along with invoice number and RMA
requisition form. Then RMA CYB will create RMA no. after verification of
serial number.
- Partner has to send the Trading Items on DOOR TO DOOR Basis and
FREIGHT PREPAID to CYBERSTAR using the RMA no. which
CYBERSTAR has created.
- On receipt of trading RMA item in proper condition, and original packing it
will be repaired / replaced or CN at prevailing product value will be issued in
due course of time by Cyberstar.
- In case of repair / replacement goods will be shipped with next shipment of
customer.
- In case of CN the same can be adjusted in further purchase
